National Council
for International Visitors (NCIV): NCIV is a network of 99 community
and 26 national non-government organizations and institutions located
in 44 states whose mission is to improve international relations through
professional and personal communication and exchange. Affiliates arrange
local and exchange programs for international visitors and scholars sponsored
by the U.S. Information Agency, the United States Agency for International
Development and other programs. In addition, affiliates may work closely
with private industry, foreign governments, foundations, universities,
and colleges. Network services include professional appointments, home
hospitality, seminars, speaking engagements, city tours, hotel bookings,
and translation services.
