Uniquely American Questions
This section discusses worship in the United
States as it applies to international visitors.
HOUSES OF WORSHIP
The United States of America, by constitution, separates religion and
government (as religious freedom is the reason many of the first settlers
fled to America). The population is primarily Christian; however, churches,
temples, mosques and other houses of worship of all denominations flourish
across the country. Consult any U.S. telephone directory to find a house
of worship that will suit your needs in the area in which you will stay.
Many hospitals also offer worship services.
