for U.S. businesses.
U.S. BUSINESS HOURS
Restaurant and bar hours vary (although bars usually close around
2:00 am), but business hours are usually 8:30am-5:00pm, Monday through
Friday (and Saturday for many businesses and tourist attractions). However,
it is best to call ahead if you wish to determine business hours, directions,
and reservations. Retail outlets may maintain longer hours. Shopping
malls are generally open from 10:00am to 9:00 pm (Sundays from noon
until 6 pm). Tourist attractions and retail businesses may also
maintain weekend schedules, especially in the summer. Although many banks
offer extended hours for some services at select branches, complete banking
services are generally available between 9:00 am and 4:00 pm on weekdays.
